About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Medical Director to lead our affiliate's medical strategy and tactics in Brazil. As a key member of our global medical team, you will be responsible for developing and executing local strategies to drive business growth and improve operating efficiencies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute tactical plans to achieve business objectives, including phase 4 studies and consolidation of healthcare landscape insights.
  • Lead the Medical Affairs Department, including assigning and monitoring relevant KPIs and metrics.
  • Co-lead Local TA, Launch, and Brand Strategies, and lead Medical Affairs Tactics.
  • Lead talent review process and development plans for key talent, ensuring healthy succession pools for leadership positions.
  • Collaborate and lead resolution of regulatory, reputational, compliance, and other risk issues in the affiliate.
  • Participate in and contribute significantly to internal policy and external trade or regulatory working teams on matters impacting the affiliate.
  • Collaborate with pharmacovigilance and regulatory teams to interpret regulatory and safety risks, manage scientific communication, and lead presentations/discussions on local studies.
  • Provide counsel on clinical and health outcomes research design, ensuring country research proposals are scientifically and strategically aligned with global data generation priorities.
  • Identify and interact with key members of the medical community, including healthcare professionals and other stakeholders.
Requirements
  • MD or bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in the industry, with a preference for those with regional and global experience.
  • Previous experience as a Country Medical Director in the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute results-driven medical strategies aligned with business goals and objectives.
  • Demonstrated strategic thinking and decision-making skills, with the ability to organize and manage multiple projects.
  • Proven management and leadership skills.
  • Fluent in English and Portuguese.
