Investigate Claims Internationally
Job Description:- Examine complex losses locally and assist on larger ones, including accounting-based losses.
- Determine insurance coverage by examining claim forms and records.
- Interview claimants, witnesses, and correspond with them regarding claims.
- Consult police and hospital records, inspect property damage to determine liability.
- Estimate repair, replacement, or compensation costs.
- Negotiate settlements with claimants and recommend litigation when necessary.
- Revises case reserves to cover probable costs and prepares loss experience reports.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferred.
- Five years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
- Must be bilingual - Portuguese and English, Spanish considered a plus.
- Strong oral and written communication skills, including presentation.
- PC literate with Microsoft Office products.
- Attention to detail, accuracy, good time management, and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently or in a team environment, meet or exceed Performance Competencies.
