Key Responsibilities- Trusted Business-Legal Partner: Collaborate with the Brazil Executive Committee to drive strategic discussions and decision-making, providing comprehensive legal counsel on a wide range of matters, including corporate governance, compliance, and litigation.
- Culture of Integrity & Accountability: Foster a culture of integrity and accountability within the legal team, promoting systematized cross-functional collaboration and knowledge-sharing.
- Legal Operations Leadership: Drive the growth and efficiency of legal processes within Brazil and the Latin America region, innovating and implementing improvements to boost productivity and streamline workflows.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as the primary point of contact for legal matters with external stakeholders, including regulators, government agencies, and industry associations.
- Team Engagement and Development: Lead and develop a high-performing Brazil legal team, fostering a collaborative and results-oriented work environment.
- Budget Execution and Cost Efficiency: Ensure budget execution and coordinate activities for cost efficiency, working with the Brazil and extended Latin America Legal Team to evaluate and optimize operations.
- Experience: Minimum 15 years post-qualification experience as an attorney, with a proven track record of managing complex legal issues and leading a team of lawyers.
- Education: Degree in Law, with an additional Master's Degree in Management (MBA) or postgraduate degree in Law considered an asset.
- Skills: Strong emotional intelligence, leadership skills, and ethical standards, with fluency in English and Portuguese required, and Spanish fluency an asset.
