Job Title: Legal Director, Brazil

Goodyear is seeking a highly experienced Legal Director to lead its legal team in Brazil. As a key member of the company's leadership team, you will be responsible for providing strategic legal advice and guidance to support the company's business objectives in the region.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide legal counsel to the business on a wide range of matters, including contracts, employment, labor, and regulatory issues.
  • Lead the legal team in Brazil and collaborate with the Latin America Region Legal Team to share best practices and foster a culture of knowledge-sharing and efficiency.
  • Drive legal operations and support the growth and efficiency of legal processes within Brazil and the LA region.
  • Co-lead special projects throughout Brazil and Latin America, supporting the businesses and functions with priority initiatives.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for legal matters with external stakeholders, including regulators, government agencies, and industry associations.
  • Develop and implement strategies for continuous cost efficiency and effective resource management.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 15 years post-qualification experience as an attorney, with a proven track record of experience in a wide range of areas of legal expertise.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience within a business/commercial environment, with sound commercial and business judgement.
  • Extensive experience serving on business management steering committees and executive leadership teams.
  • Strong emotional intelligence, leadership skills, and ethical standards.
  • Strong communicator, able to communicate in clear and concise manner, both verbally and in written formats.
  • Fluency in English and Portuguese is required, with Spanish fluency an asset.
