About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Strategic Business Development Manager to join our team at GoodWe. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for building and expanding relationships with strategically key customers in the solar retail distributors market in Brazil.

Main Responsibilities
  • Sales and Channel Development: Sell into residential and commercial and industrial (C&I) market segments, and be responsible for the operation and implementation of effective business development measures to ensure the promotion and generation of sales in accordance with company policies.
  • Problem-Solving and Cost Savings: Take actions to resolve complex problems, implement measures to achieve cost savings, and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Business Growth and Development: Increase the distributors' volume across all product lines (inverters, storage, etc.), and setup business development plans and action plans by account.
  • New Business Opportunities: Identify, drive, and pursue new business opportunities with different distributors, wholesalers, resellers, installers, by selecting appropriate company products/services enablers.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Manage business opportunities and deliver recognized value to customers that will generate profit and continuous growth for GoodWe.
  • Market and Customer Understanding: Develop and maintain an understanding of target customers and markets, as well as industry/channel issues, and customer purchasing behavior and influences.
  • Team Collaboration: Work jointly with Pre-sales, After-sales, and Marketing teams to establish and implement business plan objectives.
  • Communication and Presentation: Provide portfolio, channel policy, and campaigns presentations to distributor, resellers, and installers.
  • Relationship Building: Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, installers, distributors, EPCs, and Investors.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in an Engineering-related field is preferred.
  • Business Development Expertise: Business development expertise with a proven sales track record with Tier-1 companies.
  • Professional Experience: Professional experience in working with PV solar inverters preferred.
  • Skills and Abilities: Exceptional analytical skills, relationship management qualities, and leadership abilities. Strong goal orientation and closing mindset. Proven ability to articulate the value proposition of solutions and to differentiate against competitors. Able to work with a high degree of independence. We expect an enthusiastic team player, willing to communicate across departments.
  • Language: Fluent in English.
  • Travel and Work Environment: Willing to travel in Brasil. Must have a valid driver's license.
