We are seeking a skilled Service Technician to join our team in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. As a Service Technician, you will be responsible for performing service activities on 4-stroke marine diesel engines.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform overhauls and repairs on 4-stroke medium-speed engines.
- Interact professionally with customers during the work execution.
- Perform internal and external progress status of the assigned work.
- Assistance in creating the Service Work Reports.
- Ensure that the work is executed according to Wärtsilä QEHS guidelines and site procedures.
- Follow-up and report on the status of work orders to customers and/or internal stakeholders.
- A passion for developing your 4-stroke knowledge to the next level.
- A Technical degree in a relevant field (mechanics, automation, naval, or others).
- A completed or in-progress Bachelor's degree in Engineering is a plus.
- English is needed at intermediary or advanced level.
- Technical experience in reciprocating engine repair and overhaul with practical problem-solving skills.
- Experience in installation, operation, and maintenance of turbochargers, pumps, heat exchangers, fuel systems, lubrication systems, and cooling systems.
- Interact professionally and deliver solutions to customers during the work execution.
- Experience with 4-stroke engines, preferably low and medium speed.
- Experience in working with electrical systems is a plus.
- A dynamic and fast-paced work environment.
