Position Overview

The Engine Oils Americas division includes additive products designed for heavy-duty diesel engines, large commercial engines, passenger vehicles, and small engines, such as those used in power tools and recreational vehicles across North, Central, and South America. This diverse portfolio represents Lubrizol's largest volume segment, with Latin America (LATAM) being crucial to our growth objectives in this region. A robust technology team is essential for Lubrizol's success, and we are currently seeking a Technology Deployment Manager.

The Technology Deployment Manager will be responsible for overseeing projects that aim to implement Lubrizol's engine oil technology platforms effectively within the LATAM market. This role involves direct customer interaction, focusing on both deployment and technical customer support in Latin America. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of contributing to project success within a collaborative team environment and possess strong communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement project plans to meet customer needs.
  • Lead and take ownership of projects to deploy engine oil additive technology.
  • Provide specialized project support as required.
  • Schedule, compile, analyze, and interpret data from laboratory and mechanical tests accurately.
  • Evaluate health, safety, and regulatory implications of all actions related to the deployment of Lubrizol engine oil technology.
  • Deliver high-quality formulations for commercialization, ensuring product performance in real-world applications.
  • Utilize problem-solving skills to provide technical support and respond promptly to customer needs.
  • Communicate project status effectively to stakeholders.
  • Prepare timely and accurate reports, presentations, and internal project documentation.
  • Collaborate with internal and external testing laboratories to ensure adequate resource allocation for business requirements.
  • Represent Lubrizol by creating and delivering presentations to customers as necessary.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related technical field.

Experience and Skills

  • At least two years of technical experience in a lubricant additive or oil company, or within other sectors of the specialty chemical industry.
  • Experience in project management.
  • Proven ability to contribute to multifunctional teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
  • Fluency in English and/or Spanish.

Preferred Qualifications

  • General knowledge of statistics or familiarity with experimental design and statistical methodologies.
  • Interest and knowledge in engine hardware and technology.
