Key Responsibilities:

  • Clean and prepare guest rooms and public areas to meet our high standards of cleanliness and presentation.
  • Retrieve items from storage and set up cleaning carts with supplies for daily use.
  • Organize carts and storage areas in a clean and orderly fashion.
  • Clean and wipe windows, doors, walls, closets, and fixtures in rooms, public areas, and hallways.
  • Use ladders or stools to clean hard-to-reach areas.
  • Wash shower walls and tubs, clean toilets and stall walls, and wipe exposed pipes.
  • Replace towels, soaps, and room amenities.
  • Restock literature and ensure hotel standards for arriving guests.
  • Wash hard floor areas by hand to remove dirt and soiled areas.
  • Dust and polish furniture, fixtures, and wall hangings.
  • Strip and remake beds with fresh linen.
  • Check closets for cleanliness and restock guest room supplies.
  • Vacuum rooms, public areas, and hallways.
  • Inspect door and window locks to ensure they are in working order.
  • Report any deficiencies in room equipment to the Executive Housekeeper.
  • Secure and maintain custody of equipment, keys, and supplies.
  • Provide assistance to other employees and departments as needed.

Requirements:

  • Able to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.
  • Responsible, dependable, and punctual.
  • Must be able to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Clean and professional appearance.
  • Must pass a background check.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to maneuver a fully loaded maid cart weighing up to 50lbs through hallways and into/out of closets.
  • Must be able to bend down and get on and off the floor numerous times per day.
