Infrastructure Commercial Strategist

The Infrastructure Commercial Strategist develops and implements effective commercial strategies for infrastructure projects from tender to completion.

This role requires a high degree of analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex commercial data and develop actionable insights.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of commercial practices within the infrastructure sector, including cost planning, budgeting, and forecasting. They will also possess strong leadership skills, with the ability to lead contract negotiations, manage claims and disputes, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement commercial strategies aligned with project goals and objectives.
  • Manage and mitigate commercial risks, including regulatory, environmental, and stakeholder-related risks.
  • Lead contract negotiations with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Administer major infrastructure contracts and manage claims and disputes.
  • Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and project management teams to optimize delivery and cost efficiency.

Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in Engineer, Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
  • Professional accreditation (e.g., MRICS, MCIOB, PMP) is highly desirable.
  • Minimum of 15 years experience in commercial roles within infrastructure construction.
