About the Job

Responsibilities

- Ensure each prospective and current client/patient has a positive experience
- Respond to all client and patient inquiries within specified service levels
- Prioritize patient needs based on medical urgency
- Develop and distribute end-of-day reports on bookings and conversions
- Handle a variety of tasks independently and simultaneously
- Demonstrate a pleasant disposition with each client/patient interaction
- Work collaboratively on a team

Tasks

- Assist with high call volumes
- Maintain physicians' schedules, scheduling office visits and procedures via phone and in-office
- View patient visit notes, identifying problems & diagnosis listed and physician orders
- Assist with patient registration and financial transactions
- Educate patients on providers, the practice, and services
- May schedule radiology/lab
- May include recall/follow-up scheduling
- May include re-scheduling appointments
- Respond to patient questions and inquiries
- Perform other duties as assigned to support clinic operations
- Stay flexible and supportive, helping out wherever needed, even if it's not in the defined job description
- Complete required call sheets at the end of each day
- Take initiative to learn about the company and grow within the role

Job Qualifications and Skill Sets

- Bachelor's Degree required, medical degree preferred
- Bilingual English and Spanish
- HIPAA Certification (highly recommended)
- 1-3 year experience in USA healthcare industry required
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a doctor's office
- Prior dermatology office experience is required
- Prior scheduling experience required
- Good understanding of healthcare plans; read and understand medical benefits
- Excellent English communication skills (verbal and written)
- Expert use of Google Workspace
- Experience working in Electronic Health Records
- Experience using Slack and other business administration tools
- Ability to work at least 8 hours each day, 5 days per week, Pacific Standard Time
- A positive attitude
- A pleasant speaking voice when engaging with prospects and customers
- Experience and willingness to work in a team environment
- Excellent organization skills
- Strong work ethic and work-from-home reliability
- Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree required, medical degree preferred
1-3 year experience in USA healthcare industry required
Minimum 2 years of experience in a doctor's office
Prior dermatology office experience is required
