This is a highly sought-after role that requires expertise in legal matters affecting our business operations across Latin America.
About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Regional Counsel to provide comprehensive legal advice and manage litigation matters effectively throughout the region.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide expert legal guidance on commercial matters affecting our business operations in Latin America
- Manage and oversee litigation cases effectively, working closely with external counsel and internal stakeholders
- Advise on labor and employment law issues relevant to Brazil and at least one other country within the region
- Support the Global Business Conduct team in compliance initiatives, ensuring adherence to applicable laws and regulations
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and other legal documents to minimize risk and maximize business outcomes
- Law degree and admission to the bar in Brazil
- Individual contributor with 7-10 years of post-qualification experience, preferably in-house or in a law firm with exposure to corporate and commercial law
- Broad commercial legal knowledge, including contract law, corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and dispute resolution
- Proven experience managing litigation cases with a strategic approach
- Expertise in labor law of Brazil and at least one other country in Latin America, preferably Mexico
