Job Description

As a talented Character Concept Artist, you will be working with the development teams to create memorable and compelling characters that exude personality and style. You will use your artistic expertise in color, composition, shape, and visual design to help push our iconic visual style.

Our ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience in the game industry, working on AAA games as a Senior Concept Artist. They have also worked on at least one AAA game, demonstrating their expertise in creating unique and stunning designs within a determined production schedule.

In this role, you will collaborate closely with Art Directors and core development teams to drive and visualize different types of content across the Fortnite universe. You will produce character designs in a variety of body shapes, race, and aesthetics, ensuring they fit the Fortnite style.

Requirements and Qualifications
  • 5+ years experience in the game industry working in AAA game development
  • Worked on at least one AAA game in a Senior Concept Artist role
  • Experience working with intellectual properties
  • A portfolio that demonstrates a range of styles, creativity, and craftsmanship
  • Excellent traditional artistic skills with a strong grasp of composition, anatomy, color theory, perspective, lighting, environment, architectural, character, costume and graphic design
  • Effective leader, collaborator, and problem solver able to coordinate with internal and external teams
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to accurately estimate tasks and maintain schedules
  • Strong communication skills and understanding of various art disciplines (animation, character, environment, VFX)
  • You're user-focused, passionate, solutions-focused, and innovative
