Job Title: Financial Operations Manager

Our organization seeks a highly skilled and experienced Financial Operations Manager to lead the establishment of a finance function in Brazil. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing an outsource accounting vendor and building a finance team from scratch.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in preparing financial statements, including monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Support the development and monitoring of budgets and forecasts.
  • Collaborate with business units to ensure alignment with financial goals and objectives.
  • Ensure adherence to financial policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee accounts payable, receivable, and general ledger reconciliation processes.
  • Work closely with outsourced accountants (if applicable) to ensure accurate financial records and work towards setting up a finance team to replace them.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline and enhance financial processes and implement best practices for efficiency and accuracy in reporting.
Requirements:
  • At least 5 years of experience in financial management or a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting standards, financial regulations, and ERP systems (SAP preferred).
  • Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with financial modeling.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Preferred Skills:

High level of integrity and attention to detail. Strong communication and interpersonal skills (English and Portuguese). Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Proactive and able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

Education and Certifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional certifications (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CMA) are preferred.
