About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Platform UI Developer to join our team at SAP. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our user-facing products and components.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and architect user-facing products and components, including SAP Concur's Homepage, Profile UI, Admin UI, and Core UI libraries and components.
  • Leverage a variety of UI technologies and tools, such as React, Babel, Webpack, TypeScript, UI Testing frameworks like Jest, testing-library, playwright, and documentation tools like Storybook.
  • Apply secure software development practices and tools, including source control (git, semantic versioning, package publishing and maintenance), and dev tooling (package managers, linters, bundlers, etc.).
  • Embrace end-to-end ownership, architecting, designing, coding, testing, deploying, and monitoring software, and supporting our customers.
  • Collaborate with Product Managers, UX Designers, and fellow engineers in an ever-evolving, Agile environment.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends, and contribute to the growth and development of our team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field, or relevant experience.
  • Knowledge of software engineering with a focus on UI or full-stack development.
  • Experience with web development technologies, including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+), and popular UI frameworks/libraries such as React.
  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality user experiences for the modern web.
  • Experience with DevOps practices, tools such as Git, Webpack, and automated testing frameworks.
  • Strong technical leadership abilities, fostering a collaborative and inclusive team environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Experience leveraging APIs (REST, GraphQL) and cloud-based services such as AWS a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills in English.
