Job Title: Mechanical Training Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Training Specialist to join our team. This role involves designing and delivering training programs that cater to the needs of operations training requirements.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Create and manage presentation materials and equipment for effective training delivery.
  • Conduct gap analysis on the competency level of our workforce and develop targeted training programs.
  • Deliver high-quality training sessions with a strong focus on oil & gas assets.
  • Presentation skills should be professional, interesting, and stimulating.
  • Develop and publish different levels of training programs to satisfy our needs which include classroom and OJT activities.
  • Deliver individual competency development training with a holistic approach including SHE and WMS considerations.
  • Assess students' capabilities and modify program material/presentation as needed.
  • Maintain program performance records and perform LMS data input functions.
  • Interface and coordinate training activities with other personnel to achieve objectives.
  • Ensure students engage positively in the learning experience.
  • Craft Assessment & Responsibilities:
  • Work with supervisors to establish/review assessment criteria.
  • Conduct assessments on O&M personnel to identify craft competencies gaps.
  • Ensure all students engage positively in assessment experiences.
  • Modify assessment process as needed to maximize student involvement.
  • Maintain up-to-date records of all assessments planned and completed.

Qualifications:

Education: University Degree in any discipline and Accredited Assessor license.

Required Skills:

  • Strong oil & gas upstream operational background.
  • Knowledgeable of/competent with basic upstream oil & gas operational programs.
  • Competent/experienced with upstream oil & gas and craft training programs.
  • Strong training presentation, coordination, evaluation, and planning skills.
  • Competent computer skills; presentation, spreadsheets, document preparation.

Personal Attributes:

  • A minimum of 10 years in a similar role with 5 years' experience in OJT/Classroom Training.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in Upstream and Downstream businesses.
  • Preferably holds an accredited Assessor Qualification.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills, able to work in multi-culture environments.
