2H Offshore is looking to add a Subsea Equipment and Controls Specialist to their team in Rio de Janeiro. We are looking for an experienced Subsea Equipment and Controls Specialist to join our team, specializing in the maintenance, life extension, and optimization of subsea trees and subsea equipment. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring the integrity, life extension, reliability, and performance of critical subsea systems. You will be responsible for assessing, troubleshooting, and upgrading existing subsea assets to extend their operational lifespan and support the ongoing development of new subsea projects.

Duties
- Lead initiatives to evaluate and extend the life of subsea trees, manifolds, and associated equipment. Implement innovative solutions to enhance the longevity and performance of aging assets
- Manage the integrity and performance of subsea control systems, including subsea control modules (SCMs), umbilicals, and hydraulic systems, ensuring they meet safety and operational standards
- Develop and execute maintenance strategies to maximize the efficiency and reliability of subsea assets. Perform routine inspections and risk-based assessments, ensuring continued operational integrity
- Investigate and resolve equipment failures, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence. Provide technical guidance to the offshore and onshore teams during equipment installation, retrieval, and refurbishment activities
- Work closely with vendors and equipment manufacturers to ensure the successful delivery of subsea projects, including equipment upgrades and repairs. Oversee factory acceptance tests (FATs), site integration tests (SITs), and subsea installations
- Provide technical support to subsea operations, advising on the latest standards and technologies to improve subsea system performance. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on new projects, ensuring the seamless integration of equipment
- Maintain accurate records of subsea equipment performance, inspection findings, and life extension activities. Generate detailed technical reports for internal stakeholders and external clients

Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Subsea Engineering (or related field)
- 5+ years of experience in subsea systems, with a focus on subsea trees, control systems, and equipment integrity
- Strong knowledge of industry standards such as API 17D and API 17F, particularly in subsea tree design and life extension practices
- Experience in the analysis and troubleshooting of subsea control systems, including SCMs, umbilicals, and hydraulic systems
- Proven ability to assess equipment conditions and recommend life extension strategies
- Familiarity with NDT methods, corrosion management, and fatigue analysis techniques
- Experience working with vendors, contractors, and multidisciplinary engineering teams
