Associate Litigation Counsel

We are currently searching for an Associate Counsel with expertise or interest in litigation, in order to join the Uber Legal Team as we continue to scale our business globally. We're looking for outstanding legal professionals, who provide legal advice and guidance on all aspects of Uber's operations across all business lines. **WHAT YOU'LL DO**
- Work closely within the Litigation team in Brazil, as well as other members of Legal team in the LATAM region to identify, understand and explain regulatory impact as well as mitigate potential breaches in the country.
- Take a hands-on approach to all facets of litigation, including fact investigation, drafting and revising legal briefs, and negotiating and drafting settlements
- Identify, review, analyze and mitigate litigation risks
- Develop, implement, and make sure company policies and compliance efforts, including training employees on potential litigation risks

**WHAT YOU'LL NEED**:

- Strong academic credentials. Master’s (LL.M.) degree optional but not required.
- 4+ years of legal work experience in regulatory and/or litigation advocacy at a top law firm or acting as in-house counsel.
- Fluent English required, Portuguese is a plus.
- Have high standards, integrity and strong ethical values
- Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment for a company with operations around the world
- Keen business judgment and ability to analyze complex legal issues while considering risk, while providing holistic advice to business and other key partners.
- Attention to detail, ability to multitask, handle cases, and carry out meaningful projects with limited oversight.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required - strong writing, research, and negotiation skills necessary.
- Based in Mexico City.
- Willingness to learn, be a great teammate, and fun to work with
