**Job Profile / Activities**:
The key role of this first level field assignment position is to learn and assist others, while building industry knowledge. The incumbent learns to become a sales and service liaison among dealers, customers and other Caterpillar personnel. Also becomes increasingly familiar with the company’s processes, systems and methodologies. A more senior representative and the supervisor/manager typically direct work. Decisions made by this position are more routine and with limited risk issues. Challenges include meeting expectations in delivering results, learning to consider alternative courses of actions, making timely decisions and developing communication skills.

Key accountabilities include machine, work tools and parts sales forecast, as well as development and implementation of local marketing strategies. Assist Cat Dealers in developing and implementing customer solutions including marketing plans, sales coverage, merchandising programs, product value needs and pricing issues. Key enabler of this position is to grow product & services sales thru increased participation in business opportunities. This will result in a higher product population and downstream future revenue sales and profitability. This position includes the understanding of various profit streams and generating profit throughout the customer and product lifecycle.

This position is the sole owner of after-sales customer advocacy and is fully empowered to use their entrepreneur zeal to determine best actions to balance enterprise, dealer and customer needs for the industry segment. This position is responsible to build and maintain partnerships with end users via focus on customer satisfaction, by ensuring fair-value and regular post-sale customer contact in concert with dealer personnel. Determine customer satisfaction climate, proactively resolve issues, and provide conflict and problem resolution as required.

The position assists with product problem management, supports/develops dealer post-sale customer contact strategy and manages warranty/goodwill administration. Regularly interface with dealers and customers to minimize the commercial impact of customer complaints, ensuring customers receive fair-value and promoting additional customer touch points and future sales. Focus on complaint velocity and problem resolution in all work streams.

Incumbents, along with their manager, will direct their development and continual learning through experience and staying abreast of technology changes. Key learning comes from gaining experience in the assigned industry, developing communication and people relationship skills, improving problem solving techniques, building business skills, enhancing use of Caterpillar systems and developing leadership basics.

**Basic Qualifications**:
**Education**:University degree, preferably in Engineering, Economics, Administration, Marketing and Information Technology.

**Experience**:2+ years of field experience working with dealers and customers in sales, after sales, rental, used, product and/or marketing consultant.

**Language**:Intermediate English

**Travel**:up to 60%
