**ABOUT THE ROLE**

In our Automation & Adv. Analytics team we are passionate about encouraging a specific skill-set (business translation through Data Science) that collaborates with a vast number of business partners within Uber Eats LatAm, having direct responsibility on impacting the business's highest priorities. Our Operations Manager (Automation) role is essential to bring together a three-sided marketplace by optimizing/managing processes

This Operations-driven role calls for a rare combination of deep technical skills (primarily coding and optimization modeling), creative problem solving, and strong partner/project management.

This person will work in the Delivery LatAm Central Operations team, owning/collaborating on projects with other Operations verticals from Regional, Sub-Regional and Local teams.

**WHAT YOU'LL DO**
- Design, implement and supervise automation assets by scaling new and existing processes, always focusing on operational efficiency and growth
- Use sophisticated analytics and business intelligence techniques to uncover hidden patterns and business opportunities. Use data to challenge the status-quo and influence/drive teams to action
- Choose which projects should be prioritized, set realistic timelines to reach goals, efficiently drive projects through coordination with partners & project management
- Proactively search for new product features that could improve a magnificent Eater, Courier, and Restaurant experience in the platform
- Work with Product/Engineering as an Operations liaison on existing processes/frameworks, coordinating other mega-regions for processes scaling and standardization
- Maintain all live processes in the team's portfolio, focusing on process reliability and transparency with partners

**WHAT YOU'LL NEED**
- A minimum of 3+ years of robust work experience in a startup, strategy, operations, analytics, or a variety of other specialty roles with consistent track record in quantitative fields
- Technical expertise: Programming proficiency in a scripting language (Python preferred), SQL and optimization methods
- Professional proficiency in English or Spanish
- Problem solving: Be able to address issues that involve people, things, and processes by using logic, eye for business and data, in a scientific approach
- Pro-activeness in a constantly evolving work environment while maintaining flexibility and a collaborative/positive demeanour
- Good communication skills that will allow objective and constructive debates with technical and non-technical people from all backgrounds
- Experience in building large scale solutions with potential integrations with different frameworks
- Proficiency in Optimization models (such as classifiers, regressions, forecasting) for both deterministic/stochastic scenarios
- Self-learning + "hacking" attitude to seek the status-quo and build solutions that yet don't exist (for problems that seem impossible)
