**Let's start with the role**
The Global Public Policy & Government Affairs team operates across a wide and diverse spectrum of functions and workstreams, encompassing government relations, policy expertise on various issues, risk and crisis management, outreach, partnerships, and coalition-building.
The team's mission is to design and advocate for effective solutions to critical gaming and technology challenges, fostering a political, legislative, and regulatory landscape that protects people while also encouraging growth and innovation for our business.
**As a Public Policy & Legislative Affairs you will**:
- Develop and implement public policy strategies to advance Kaizen Gaming's business objectives in the Brazilian Congress;
- Monitor and analyze political and legislative developments affecting the GameTech industry;
- Engage with lawmakers and staff to advocate for Kaizen Gaming's policy positions and interests;
- Collaborate closely with internal teams, including Legal, Compliance, Communications, and Product, to align business objectives with public policy goals;
- Build and maintain strong networks with relevant stakeholders, including lawmakers, policymakers, industry leaders, and advocacy groups;
- Provide strategic advice to leadership on emerging policy issues and their potential impact on the company's operations and growth;
- Prepare and deliver written reports, policy briefs, and presentations to effectively communicate complex issues to internal and external stakeholders;
- Represent Kaizen Gaming in industry coalitions, conferences, and public policy forums;
- Promote a positive reputation for Kaizen Gaming through proactive engagement with stakeholders and thought leadership;
- Lead crisis management efforts from a public policy perspective, developing mitigation strategies as needed.
**What you'll bring**:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Law, Political Science, Public Policy, International Relations, or a related field;
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in government relations, public policy, or related fields, preferably within the technology and/or gaming sectors;
- Outstanding judgment, persuasive and lobbying skills, creativity, and the ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced, and often uncertain environment;
- Strong understanding of legislative processes in Brazil, with established relationships within the public policy community;
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and advocacy skills, with the ability to build and maintain influential networks;
- Proven ability to manage complex issues, analyze policy trends, and provide strategic guidance to leadership;
- Deep experience working across multiple functions, influencing, and collaborating with others to successfully implement programs and initiatives; history of successful cross-functional team and leadership collaboration;
- Experience working in a multinational environment, with a collaborative and results-driven approach;
- Fluency in Portuguese and English language, both spoken and written.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
