We are searching the best talent for **Communication Director** to be in **Sao Paulo, Brazil**.
Purpose: The Communication & Public Affairs Director is responsible for developing and leading Janssen strategy to shape and drive company’s reputation in Brazil. Through an integrated C&PA framework, this position is responsible for building networks internally and externally, developing strong relationships within our main stakeholders (HCPs, payers, PAGs, media, policy makers, employees etc). Based on business needs, she/he leads Internal, External and Digital Communication plans for Janssen Brazil and its Therapeutic Areas (TAs), fostering a favorable environment to Janssen business in the country. She/He works as partner of the global and regional teams in overseas projects that will be implemented in Brazil, as well as with other local cross sectors communication teams in enterprise initiatives. As Board member, she/he plays an important role as a trust advisor to the senior leadership, supporting them as thought leaders. As a leader, she/he is also responsible for developing her C&PA team, promoting a DE&I mindset and inspiring colleagues to grow in Janssen and J&J.
**You will be responsible for**:
- Develop Communication & Public Affairs strategy for Janssen Brazil and its products and lead its implementation.
- Be a trust advisor for the senior leadership, contributing with key strategies to position the company and its Therapeutical areas through the local leaders. Key member of the local board.
- Develop people, being an inspiring leader
- Develop and implement governance, analytics model - ROI, partnership with agencies etc. for internal, institutional as well as TA’s communications & Public Affairs.
- Improve the Communication Culture within the company, leading internal policies discussions and challenging the status quo for innovative approaches.
- Lead budget management
- Partner with regional/global and cross sector teams to align and leverage C&PA initiatives locally.
**Qualifications**
Qualifications and requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Journalism or Public Relations
- Minimum 10 years of experience in Communications with experience developing and delivering Brand PR strategies, is required.
- Experience with pharma brands is preferred
- Experience within a Public Relations agency or Corporation is required
- Successful track record in brand public relations / communication, corporate communication, crisis management, product approval and launch communication support are required
- Comfort with media relations and ability to serve as country spokesperson
- Capable of establishes relationships across teams, and working up, down and laterally across the organization, exceptional interpersonal skills
- Experience with social media content development, traditional media, trade media is preferred
- Capable of telling stories through various influential voices (i.e., executives, physicians and third parties/advocacy groups)
- Experience working in a matrix environment and driving results through influence
- Expert judgment with critical decision-making skills
- English and Portuguese Required; spanish is a plus
- Ability to innovate and challenge the status quo
- Lead staff of internal employees and external consultants
- High level proficiency on communication skills (oral and written)
