**Boeing Brazil** is seeking an **Environmental Control System's Engineering Manager**, reporting to the Airplane Systems Senior Management, working out of the **São José dos Campos **office.

The **Environmental Control System's Engineering Manager** will join the Airplane Systems team and will be responsible to lead and inspire a group of employees performing engineering, technical, and regulatory tasks in the areas of BCA Systems

The position includes responsibility for developing and executing project and process plans, implementing policies and procedures, setting operational goals for the team, and acquiring financial and technical resources. This role includes a significant level of mentoring, developing, and motivating direct reports.

**Position Responsibilities**:

- Manages employees performing engineering and technical tasks in the areas of the BCA Airplane Systems Design Center or Platform/Program teams
- Supports a variety of Boeing product, including the 737, 747, 767, 777, and 787 products
- Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures, and sets operational goals
- Coordinates engagement with BCA engineering counterparts located in the USA: Charleston, Puget Sound, and Long Beach
- Acquires resources for projects and processes, including budget and staffing
- Provides technical and project oversight of suppliers
- Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, and direct reports
- Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products, and processes
- Provides oversight and approval of approaches to compliance with regulatory requirements and certification processes
- Leads and fosters process improvements
- Develops and maintains a culture of seeking to understand, courage to speak up, active listening and servant leadership to manage, develop, and motivate employees

**Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)**:

- Management experience with Environmental Control Systems.
- In depth experience in the aerospace industry.
- In depth experience or Familiarization with the certification of 14 CFR part 25 commercial aerospace products.
- Must be legally able to work in Brazil.
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, with degrees in Aeronautical, Civil, Mechanical, or Structural Engineering.
- Proficient in both verbal and written communications skills in the English Language.
- Must be registered or eligible to register with the Engineering and Agronomy Regional Council (Conselho Regional de Engenharia e Agronomia - CREA).

**Preferred Qualifications (Education/Experience)**:

- Experience in the development, integration, and verification of mechanical systems
- Experience with or a desire to learn Agile project management methods
- Experience in requirements management and system safety hazard assessment methodology
- Knowledge and experience of mechanical engineering
- Experience in leading and mentoring engineering teams
- Experience working within a regulated industry
- Experience with or a desire to learn and implement more Model-Based Engineering (MBE) /Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methods
