**Job Description Summary**: GE Vernova Grid partners with electric grid utilities to deliver mission critical monitoring, analysis, and control system software worldwide through grid orchestration, and has launched GridOS, an industry leading platform. We are seeking a Global Deak Desk, Director for our Customer Solution Engineering Team.
This position heads the Global Deal Desk (GDD) Customer Solution Engineering (CSE) Team, which is responsible for Technical Proposal Generation for all GE Vernova Digital Grid products, globally. The team also collaborates with regional Tech Solution teams in laying down the roadmap for our elite/premier customers and contributes to enterprise deals.
**In this role, you'll**:
- Be responsible for providing technical leadership, enabling the CSE Team for on-time delivery of high quality technical proposals, globally.
- Mentor, guide and coach the team in various GE Digital Grid product portfolios, through product knowledge sessions, discussions with cross-functional teams (product, services, architecture etc.)
- Foster a high performance work culture and work towards developing a team of Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and architects.
- Establish, monitor and review the KPIs, aligned with the SLT priorities Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams (Product, Services etc), contributing to the overall process improvement from Bid to Win to Deliver.
- Work closely with Regional Tech Sales teams, towards optimal allocation of deals to GDD CSE Team, as per the vision of GDD.
- Lead the team in lean/standard initiatives, which would pave the way for efficient proposal generation and promotion of standard work.
- Manages a small to medium team of senior professionals as well as others.
- May lead functional teams or projects with mínimal resource requirements, risk, and/or complexity.
- Communicates difficult concepts and may influence others' options on topics.
**Qualifications**:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred.
- Strong interpersonal, analytical, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills both in Portuguese and English.
- Established programs / project management skills.
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
- Strong ability to analyze and resolve problems.
- Able to legally work in Brazil.
**Technical Expertise**:
- Good overview of the Industry and evolving modern Grid Landscape.
- Should have deep knowledge in at least one of the GEV Digital product portfolios in either Transmission / Distribution: ADMS, DERMS, SCADA solutions.
- Good idea of modern-day utility Control Room architectures.
- Reasonably good overview of emerging deployment technologies/architectures: CI/CD, Kubernetes, Cloud etc.
**Business Acumen**:
- Play an instrumental role in conjunction with the Commercial Directors, to evaluate the opportunities for a GO/NO decision.
- Work pro-actively with Regional Tech Sales teams, in the look-ahead and determining the feasibility of various opportunities.
