Position Summary

Sun Country Tours is looking for a shop assistant that will work to help create an efficient flow for the back of the house for our river operations. This position requires the ability to think on your feet and will be a helper that will cover many duties. Some knowledge of basic tools, hoses and janitorial duties will be required.

What You’ll Do- Rent river tubes for the town stretch of the Deschutes River.- Help customers with the logistics of floating the river, where put-ins, take-outs, and shuttles are.- Wash, rinse, hang dry, and rotate life jackets and helmets between trips.- Coordinate with Reservations staff on the rental of tubes.- Assist guests with loading and unloading of the equipment.- Perform minor repairs as directed by the Manager or Supervisor.- Clean the shop floor and wipe down counters, tables, and chairs.- Keep an accurate list of rentals and returns.

Job Scope

Assist lead, supervisor, and manager to perform assigned tasks as outlined above.

Interpersonal Contacts

Assist bus drivers, guides, and guests with loading and unloading of equipment. Communicate with Reservations Staff on all aspects of rentals. Must have strong guest service and communication skills.

Specific Job Skills- Technical: Limited knowledge of hand tools.- Physical Capabilities: Be able to lift up to 50 pounds.- Additional: Must be reliable and punctual.

Current Hiring Range: $15.50/hr
