**Job overview and responsibilities**
- To provide business leadership, operational direction and quality control procedures and ensure that aircraft inspections are carried out in accordance with Federal Air Regulations and the United Airlines Continuous Airworthiness Maintenance Program (CAMPs)
- Position is a supervisory member of the Air Carriers Inspection Unit in compliance with 14CFR121.369(8) and 14CFR121.371b and as such has inspection decision authority and responsibility
- Participates as a partner with the overall Maintenance Team to ensure quality systems are in place and effective
- Monitor and manage Daily Operational plan execution and follow up
- Monitor and control compliance of FAA Approved Required Inspections and other Inspection tasks performed
- Monitor and adjust as necessary the Inspection Unit’s quality performance and controls
- Implement Continuous Process Improvements for processes, tooling and quality systems
- Provide quality process support overall maintenance organization
- Maintain a high level of awareness of operational, safety and human resource related performance
- Maintain a high level of communication with all employee groups within the stations

**Qualifications**:
**What’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications)**:

- High school diploma or equivalent in post High School Aviation Maintenance Technical Training or equivalent Associate Certificate or Military Aviation Training
- FAA Airframe and Powerplant Certificate
- 4+ years Inspection experience of large transport aircraft
- Experience supervising aircraft maintenance or inspection personnel
- Understanding of Aircraft Systems, Engines and structures, Federal Air Regulations, Operator Maintenance and Inspection Program, including Maintenance Procedures and Repair
- Knowledge of Non-Destructive Testing methods and principles
- Must be legally authorized to work in Brazil for any employer without sponsorship
- Must be fluent in English and Portuguese (written and spoken)
- Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
- Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position

- Bachelor's degree in aviation management or advanced degree
- 1+ years of experience as a manager of aviation maintenance personnel of large transport category aircraft
