**Program Management**

As a member of the SPLM Operations team, you’ll be involved in day-to-day operations activities related to the New Service Introduction (NSI) process, the Ciena customer portal, quoting tools/initiatives, IT programs, and more. The program manager is responsible for managing processes and programs relevant to SPLM, which is the team responsible for managing the Ciena Services portfolio. This role will require close collaboration with various stakeholder groups such as Marketing, IT, Services Leadership, Service Delivery, Legal, and Sales.

This individual should be well-versed in program/project management as well as change management. This individual should be able to help drive deliverables across a wide range of stakeholder groups, facilitate meetings, track & communicate progress, and develop best practices for reuse and scale. The ability to collaborate and drive results are essential.

**The Contribution**:

- Program manage all activities related to new services introductions following the NSI process.
- Lead weekly NSI meetings and gate reviews for in scope programs
- Contribute to the program management responsibilities related to tools which fall under SPLM responsibilities such as the myCiena portal and Q+
- Manage execution of master deliverables list (MDL) which includes project plan creation, coordinating team deliverables and activities, manage documentation, and drive/support communications across stakeholders’ project expectations of delivery and host all project gate calls
- Lead cross-functional meetings and foster teamwork; drive escalation and resolution of issues.
- Develop and/or coordinate the creation of program materials, templates, documentation, announcements, videos, and other assets as required.
- Conduct program postmortems, capture lessons learned, iterate and continuously improve program management practices and approaches for productivity and future planning.
- Track and report our organization’s weekly and quarterly updates via Weekly Operating Rhythm and Plan of Record reporting.
- Work within SPLM and with Legal to ensure required SPLM collateral such as Scopes of work (SOW) and Service Descriptions (SD) are kept up to date. Update SDs on Sharepoint, SalesForce, and myCiena as soon as they become available.
- Manage our team SharePoint as well as the Services SE Teams site so they remains updated with most recent content and is aligned with requirements from our Marketing team. Responsibilities include creating SP pages and applicable content.
- Ensure monthly RCAs are investigated and processed in our ProMapp tool in a timely manner

You are a highly energetic, innovative, and goal-oriented individual who has extensive experience managing multiple strategic projects and driving them to closure. You’re looking for a company where you have the opportunity to pursue your interests across multiple business functions and geographies. You bring to the organization the following competencies:

- Experience working with senior leaders, cross-functional stakeholders, and multiple functions with an ability to manage multiple program tracks/milestones in parallel
- Proven ability to lead teams from various internal and external organizations across multiple geographies with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong written, verbal communication, and facilitation skills
- Ability to understand innovative ideas and acknowledge, accept and mitigate the risks required to execute the program
- Prior experience leading large
- to mid-sized, complex programs
- Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree desirable, or more than eight years of related experience in supply chain or marketing
- PMP Certification, Scrum and/or Agile methodology experience and certifications strongly preferred
- Microsoft office including Excel, Word, MS Project; as well as SmartSheet and Sharepoint
- 5+ years of experience in change management, respective of program readiness and delivery, program kickoff/launch, post-launch measurements, and adoption of change components
- Estimated travel 5% domestic and international
