**Position: Application Specialist LLS Beauty**
**Report to: Sr. Application and Technical Service Manager - LLS South LATAM**

**Summary**

Research and development in the beauty and personal care business segment

**Key Responsibilities**
- Understand how the rules of Ethical and Legal Conduct are related to work. Assist and lead the team and other employees to observe the spirit of these rules, and address to the right person any matters or considerations or problematic situation when necessary.
- Stay aligned with the company policies and culture.
- Be able to identify environmental aspects, impacts, risks, and significant opportunities around the activity.
- Understand quality management systems and ISO certification processes and documentation.
- Develop cosmetic formulations, as well as support projects oriented by customers, through technical and creative skills, to meet the needs of the local market.
- Responsible for laboratory studies and interpretation of obtained results, through the implementation, improvement, or development of methodologies, aiming to maximize confidence in the results found and disclosed.
- Provide technical information in a timely manner, with critical analysis and accuracy, through detailed reports, which aim to increase the company's database.
- Provide technical support to the Sales and Marketing teams, through assistance with technical questions, support with projects planning and discussion, customer visits and training cooperation, aiming to increase the security of the sales and marketing teams regarding technical-scientific information.
- Interact with the technical Global team, to increase the interface with Local team, through different forms of communication, improving relationships between the various sectors of the Company.
- Responsible for maintaining the integrity and performance of the equipment, through applicability knowledge, operation, types of analysis and expected results of each equipment, leading faster and more accurately the projects to be executed using the available equipment.
- Guide Interns in their daily activities, communicating how and what should be done, as well as guiding them laboratory norms and conduct, helping them to raise the level of knowledge and improve performance in their activities.
- Consolidate the acquired technical knowledge, through scientific articles publication, congresses, and seminars participation, to increase Company's technical visibility in the market.

**Skills, Experience, and Qualifications**:

- **Education**: Graduation in Chemistry and/or Pharmacy. Desirable Specialization and/or post-grad degree in the area.
- **Work experience**: Minimum 7 years of experience
- **Language and computing**: Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint), Fluent English and desirable Spanish skills.
- **Other requirements/Knowledge**: Procedures related to the area, Safety norms and current Regulatory/legislation for laboratory activities, as well as Personal Care industry.
