***Job Description**:**Functions**:
- The Pre sales Manager holds accountability for:
- Supporting the sales team with internal project approvals;
- Development of the system strategy, implementation approach, and service plan necessary to win the
- award;
- Overall system design and cost-effective solutions with descriptions, diagrams and equipment lists, meeting
- or exceed the customer requirements and provide value alternatives when requirements cannot be met;
- Managing Motorola’s profitability goals;
- Driving all sole source & RFP (Request for Proposal) projects to completion managing the schedules of
- each project team member (engineering, proposal specialist, sales, service, SI);
- Coordinating with the various functional teams (Systems Integration, Service, Sales, Finance, Procurement,
- Product Groups) to ensure all business units goals are addressed in our proposals and winning-strategies;
- Developing trusted relationships with work partners and customers;
- Assisting Sales and Customer with specific market strategies;
- Managing the development and implementation of the entire presale process focused on delivering accurate
- and timely proposals;
- Integral participant of the Core Team proposal review, responsible for reviewing the proposal cover-to-cover;
- Hiring, developing, and coaching your team of Presales Engineers;
- The team concentrates on the following mission-critical communications technologies at various levels of
- complexity:
- Public safety grade mobile voice and data networks;
- Advanced mobile devices;
- Public safety mobile broadband networks and devices;
- Fixed & mobile video and analytics;
**Specific Knowledge/Skills**:
- A positive attitude with a can-do mentality that enables you to be creative, resourceful and deliver results;
- Strong written and oral communications skills with the ability to present complex topics to technical and non-- technical audiences;
- Ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders;
- Willingness to think out of the box and challenge the status quo;
- Attention to detail and a flawless execution mindset;
- Strong general knowledge of wireless communications fundamentals and voice/data architectures - both
- public and private (e.g. APCO P25, LTE, 802.11, 3G/4G) is highly desirable;
- Strong general knowledge of IP networking architecture, protocols and security is highly desirable;
- Knowledge of RF coverage predictions, traffic/capacity modeling, and related toolsets is an asset;
***Basic Requirements**:
- Bachelors Degree in Engineering required;
- 5+ years of experience in one of the following: Networking, RF, Wireless Communications, Systems
- Integration, or Customer Interface;
- Bachelors degree in Electrical, Electronics, Wireless, Telecommunications, Computer Networking
- Engineering is preferred;
- 5+ years of experience in Sales Engineering, Solution architecture or related field;
- Fluent English is a plus
