**What Makes You a Great Fit**:
Velocity Global is looking for a strategic, regionally experienced People Business Partner (PBP) to join our People team. This role is based in Colombia and will support employees and leaders across the Americas region, with a particular focus on LATAM markets, primarily Colombia and Brazil.

The PBP serves as a trusted advisor and internal consultant to business leaders, supporting organizational effectiveness, talent planning, performance management, and employee engagement. This individual will work cross-functionally to deliver people strategies that align with Velocity Global's business goals, while ensuring compliance with local labor laws and upholding our values.

This is a fully remote position based in Colombia.

**How You'll Make an Impact**:

- Partner closely with leaders across Engineering, Product, and other business functions to support organizational development, workforce planning, team dynamics, and career development.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for People support across Colombia, Brazil, and broader LATAM teams, ensuring culturally relevant and legally compliant support.
- Guide leaders in managing performance conversations, coaching, performance improvement plans (PIPs), and employee development initiatives.
- Manage complex employee relations issues, investigations, and involuntary terminations, partnering with internal legal counsel as needed to ensure risk mitigation and compliance.
- Support workforce changes, including RIFs and organizational redesigns, while maintaining clear documentation and compliance with regional regulations.
- Collaborate closely with People Operations and Legal to ensure policies and practices adhere to local labor laws and corporate standards.
- Coach people managers on employee engagement, retention, and conflict resolution, fostering a high-performing and inclusive work environment.
- Lead or contribute to cross-functional People projects, initiatives, and global programs as assigned.
- Promote a consistent and positive employee experience throughout the employee lifecycle—from onboarding to offboarding.

**Let's Connect**:

- 5+ years of HR/People Business Partner experience in fast-paced, global organizations with a significant U.S. presence.
- Strong working knowledge of Colombian and Brazilian labor laws and HR practices.
- Fluency in English and Spanish required; Portuguese strongly preferred.
- Experience supporting technical teams (Engineering, Product) and people leaders across LATAM.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with legal counsel on investigations, terminations, and risk management.
- Proven success in navigating complex employee relations and performance management matters.
- Strong coaching, influencing, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Able to work independently while collaborating closely with remote teams across time zones.

**Who You Are**:

- A proactive problem-solver who thrives in ambiguity and adapts quickly to change.
- Highly culturally competent and able to build trust with teams from diverse backgrounds.
- Committed to delivering business outcomes while supporting people with empathy and respect.
- Comfortable working across multiple systems and communicating in multiple languages daily.
