The Manager Occupational Health (OH), SJC Brazil Site will manage a cross-functional health team at the SJC, Brazil site and near proximity sites and is responsible for the provision of occupational health services including Occupational Medicine programs. She/he directly supervises Occupational Health Nurses, administrative staff, and occupational health technicians working in clinical settings at their location(s). She/he assumes site-level stewardship and is accountable for the deployment and performance of Occupational Health and Safety strategies, policies, and standards for occupational health for all the employees in the businesses their location(s) support. The Manager Occupational Health (OH) will routinely interface with business leaders at their facility. She/he may interface with external groups and agencies.
- Collaborates with EHS to optimize EHS/OH services and support for the site.
- Knowledge and skills to assess if there is risk of an adverse event from exposure to physical, chemical, biological, ergonomics or psychosocial hazards in the workplace or environment
- Provides clinical healthcare services including care for injuries & illnesses, Case Management of Occupational Injuries and illnesses, Medical Surveillance examination, and general health education and coaching.
- Is responsible for compliance associated with occupational health at the locations they support including, compliance with applicable regulations, recordkeeping and NCHC global health standards.
- Drives increased health outcomes including reducing population health risks, managing and eliminating workplace health risks, and supporting improved business outcomes through advancing Occupational health initiatives.
- Is accountable for the delivery of agreed-to regional Health metrics and outcomes.
- Creates value by driving greater efficiency and standardization in the deployment of OH resources, processes, procedures, and programs using a regional construct.
- Continuously monitors all aspects of site OH performance, providing direction to their staff and vendors and providing wellness services at their locations
- Leads the talent acquisition, development, and management process for their staff.
- Provides OH technical assistance and support as needed across SJC campus and other identified sites.
- Periodically engages business leaders to review Occupational Health performance and compliance
- Is responsible for development and meeting site budget expectations
- Fosters an atmosphere of openness and information sharing in order to encourage a culture of high awareness, transparency, and diligence with respect to OH matters.
- Should have administrative and management knowledge and skills to plan, design, implement, manage, and evaluate comprehensive occupational health programs and projects

**Qualifications** Position Requirements**:

- Medical Degree and Occupational Medicine training/certification
- Local, Regional, Country government certifications in occupational health
- Patient care experience in an industrial environment
- 4-6 years of relevant experience including supervision for 2-3 years
- Demonstrated working knowledge of Brazilian OH regulations
- Business acumen and customer sensitivity
- Strong leadership, ability to gain trust and influence at all levels, collaborative
- Demonstrated experience in effective team development
