Middle Mile Program Manager, Transportation Services

This role requires an ambitious individual. You'll represent a critical function within our wider Amazon Transportation Operations, as we work to continuously improve the service levels, capacities and costs of the Amazon Brazil Transportation Line Haul. This will help us ensure promises to our valued customers are being fulfilled each and every time.
Your Responsibilities:
• Identify and develop appropriate performance metrics for each program and ensure consistent measurement and accountability. Pulling data from numerous databases (using Excel, Access, SQL and/or other data management systems) and performing ad hoc reporting and analysis as needed; Create new and track existing metrics to detect & remove any defects;
• Continual, operational/tactical communication with external customers (Carriers) and internal customers (Fulfillment Centers, Supply Chain, Procurement, Finance, Amazon Logistics);
• Systematically escalate problems or variance in the information and data to the relevant owners and teams and follow through on the resolutions to ensure they are delivered;
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to forecast demand, plan for peak periods, and ensure sufficient capacity is available to meet operational needs;
• Uses expertise and judgment to select stakeholders to determine the right goals, inform decisions, and design long-term solutions for Transportation network operations;
• Analyze and improve network design in partnership with Supply Chain teams to meet best in class cost and customer experience results;
• Ensure right business metrics are prepared for and participate in regular Operations calls, business reviews, MBRs, etc. Participate in the preparation of strategic documents of ATS area;
• Build partner profitability models and scenarios beyond core capacity growth;
• Partner with central tech and expansion teams to facilitate the translation of business requirements into technology requests, and ensuring that OTR capacity planning has access to the best in class management platforms.
- Bachelor's degree;
- Program or project management experience;
- Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams;
- Experience defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics;
- Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) at an advanced level and SQL;
- Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements;
- Advanced English.
- Experience driving end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership experience;
- Experience driving process improvements;
- Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization;
- Experience building processes, project management, and schedules.
