Position Mission

Are you passionate about logistics, transportation, and strategic negotiations? ABB is looking for a Transportation Sourcing Category Manager to join the Electrification (EL) division, supporting logistics projects across LATAM, with a primary focus on Brazil. In this role, you will play a key part in managing transportation contracts, leading supplier transitions, and executing sourcing projects that ensure competitiveness, quality, and efficiency in logistics operations across the region.

Your Responsibilities

  • Lead sourcing events and implement procurement strategies aligned with business needs, ensuring the supplier base has the capacity to meet current and future demands.
  • Manage planning and tracking of procurement activities, cost budgets, and savings forecasts.
  • Negotiate supplier agreements, contracts, and commercial terms to ensure competitive and sustainable solutions.
  • Support annual projects, supplier transitions, and business changes in Brazil and other LATAM countries.
  • Act as the main point of contact for overland transportation (FTL and LTL), ensuring process efficiency and alignment.
  • Identify, assess, and approve suppliers according to ABB standards, focusing on quality, cost, delivery, and sustainability.

Your Background

  • Bachelor's degree in Administration, Economics, Engineering, or related fields.
  • Proven experience in sourcing and procurement in transportation and logistics.
  • Strong background in negotiating contracts and agreements with suppliers.
  • Knowledge of overland transportation (FTL and LTL), with primary focus on Brazil.
  • Advanced English and Portuguese; Spanish is a strong plus.

Nice to Have

  • Familiarity with regional procurement strategies.
  • Experience with SAP and data analysis tools.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to model transportation cost structures.
