Role Description

This is a contract role for a Senior Project Manager - Finance & Tax ERP Implementation. The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing the entire lifecycle of ERP projects, particularly focusing on the finance and tax domains. Day-to-day tasks include coordinating project activities, managing timelines, handling logistics, and ensuring compliance with specifications and regulatory requirements. This is a hybrid role with flexibility for remote work.

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Project Manager to lead a critical implementation project for our Tax Brazil program. This role requires a hands-on leader who can navigate complexity, drive execution, and ensure the successful delivery of a large-scale ERP system integrated with multiple satellite applications. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in financial systems and a strong understanding of the Brazilian regulatory landscape.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead end-to-end project management for a complex ERP implementation, including planning, execution, monitoring, and closure.
  • Manage integrations with multiple satellite systems, applications, and interfaces, ensuring seamless data flow and functionality.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including charters, plans, risk registers, and status reports, adhering to PMP standards.
  • Proactively identify, mitigate, and resolve project issues and risks, ensuring minimal disruption to timelines and objectives.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders across finance, tax, IT, and external vendors, ensuring clear and consistent communication.
  • Govern the project through established methodologies, ensuring quality and compliance with delivery standards.
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional and geographically dispersed teams to align project goals and deliverables.

Required Qualifications (Must Have):

  • Education:
    Bachelor's or Master's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field, with the ability to bridge technical language and business rationale.
  • Experience:
     8+ years of experience as an IT Project Manager, with a proven track record of driving global initiatives in multinational environments.
  • Technical Acumen:
     Solid understanding of financial processes and systems within a large ERP context (e.g., SAP, Oracle). Direct experience with tax-related modules or functionalities is essential.
  • Methodology:
     Strong familiarity with PMP/PMI project management methodologies, governance frameworks, and delivery standards.
  • Language:
     Full professional fluency in Portuguese (both written and spoken) is mandatory. English is a Plus.
  • Availability:
     Must be available to work core Brazil business hours (approximately 13:00 to 21:00 CET) to ensure overlap with local teams.
  • Work Style:
     Hands-on, results-driven approach with a demonstrated ability to drive execution and own outcomes.

Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have):

  • Prior experience within the pharmaceutical or life sciences industry is a significant plus.
  • Subject Matter Expertise:
     In-depth knowledge of the Brazilian Tax System and practical understanding of the ongoing Brazil Tax Reform implications.
  • Direct experience working with finance and tax teams based in Brazil.
