LATAM Startup Operations Lead

AWS is seeking a Startup Operations Lead in the LATAM (Latin America) startup operations team. Responsibilities include continuously evolving forecasting models, analyzing historic results, and making business recommendations to senior management based on those analyses – all in an environment of rapid growth and increasing complexity. This will include working with the Startup Sales leadership to develop, implement and manage the business processes, systems, reports and strategies that optimize business functions to meet organizational goals and initiatives.
The LATAM Startup Operations Lead will act as a trusted advisor to the LATAM Startup Sales leaders, leveraging data and analysis to scale the business. Your insights will drive incubation and growth for some of the newest and most innovating offerings in the AWS portfolio. You will drive improvements to the reporting tools, methods, and processes utilized by the team to increase the availability and granularity of actionable data to their customers. This position also manages the administration and execution of the team's revenue and non-revenue targets, measurement of goal attainment, and proposing improvements to the Business to increase its effectiveness in driving desired results. This position will be responsible for managing the rhythm of the business activities such as Weekly Business Reviews, Monthly Business Reviews, Quarterly Business Reviews, and other cadenced reporting and metrics.
Key job responsibilities
The successful candidate must be able to roll-up their sleeves, and work directly with the models/data. They will be passionate about their work, detail-oriented, analytical, and have excellent problem-solving abilities. They will be experienced at working with large data sets and the technical tools needed to work with them. They will have great communication and customer-relationship skills, strong analytical insights, and be a passionate advocate for their customers to other internal stakeholders. Active collaboration with leadership in AWS Sales, Solutions Architect, Business Development, Finance, Marketing, Recruiting, Compensation, and other Operations teams will be crucial to the effective execution of the responsibilities. They will drive towards simple, scalable solutions to difficult problems, have excellent project-management skills, and be able to communicate complex analytical results, both written and verbally, in a clear and easy-to-understand way.

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Experience developing and implementing systems/tools utilized for CRM, variable compensation, revenue reporting, forecasting, Salesforce automation, etc.
- Experience defining, refining and implementing sales processes, procedures and policies or equivalent
- 5+ years of sales operations or equivalent experience
- Experience using Microsoft Excel to manipulate and analyze data
- Experience using Salesforce (or other CRM tool) or BI tools
- Experience presenting to senior leadership
