Position Summary

To perform the duties of assigned shifts, including patrols /rounds, protection of property, facilities, and assets, providing security, customer service, loss prevention and intervention, and all other duties as outlined in the officer's job description and Department Policies and Procedures. Provides a safe and secure environment for all staff, physical facilities, and assets. Works with local law enforcement to assist investigations of thefts and property loss. Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal guidelines and DPSST regarding security.

Essential Functions/Major Responsibilities

• Represent Mt. Bachelor positively: Supports the company mission, complies with the employee manual. Models exemplary self-discipline, departmental teamwork, interdepartmental teamwork, guest service, professional skills, and ethics.

• Maintains confidentiality of sensitive information.

• Responsible for the Security of Mt. Bachelor employees, guests, property, and the secure transportation of money.

• Responsible for the distribution and pickup of department banks and deposits. May also make bank deposits at local bank branches.

• This can be a front-line position, and staff may be the first point of contact with guests. Staff will need to have a strong knowledge of the resort and its offerings to be able to answer guest questions.

• Radio and phone communication with all departments.

• Should have a working knowledge of report writing, Oregon Laws, and classification of crimes and incidents.

Secondary Function

• To assist other Departments as needed. Customer Service.

Job Scope

Responsible for the Security of Mt. Bachelor employees, Guests, Property, and the Secure transportation of Money. Responsible for following Department of Public Safety Standards and Training guidelines and Oregon Laws. Follow safe work practices and be aware of good risk management practices. Interview the suspect and take appropriate action.

All Departments, Guests, Executive Staff, Vendors, Employees, etc.

Specific Job Skills

• License/Certifications: Has Department of Public Safety Standards and Training- Private Security Certified. A Valid Oregon Driver's License.

• Technical: An understanding of police terminology and classification of crimes/incidents. Report Writing. Testifying in Court.

• Physical Capabilities: The ability to work in a variety of temperatures and have the physical fitness to walk across snow-covered surfaces in low light conditions. Shift Work- (Days, Swings, and Graveyards).

• Computer: Must have a working knowledge of web searches, Word, Excel, and email.

• Additional: First Aid/CPR/AED preferred.

Education/Related Experience

• Minimum Education: High School Diploma or G.E.D.

• Minimum Time in related position: 1+ year in security/law enforcement. Resort/Customer Service-related experience.

Current Hiring Rate: $20/hr

Minimum Age Requirement: 21+
