Also known as a "Pre-Sales Consultant" or "Sales Consultant," the Solution Engineer (SE) plays a critical role in the sales cycle, acting as the trusted advisor to customers across multiple industries in the Emerging Small & Medium Business (ESMB) segment in LATAM.
The SE is responsible for presenting Salesforce solutions and architecture in the best light, evoking confidence in our technology, and removing technical objections. The role requires a strong passion for technology, innovation, and customer impact, with the ability to gather business requirements, design a technical sales strategy, configure and deliver compelling demonstrations, and highlight the business value of our solutions.
At Salesforce, the SE team is organized into smaller teams based on product focus and industry verticals. In LATAM, this role will engage across multiple industries—including Manufacturing, Retail & Consumer Goods, Financial Services, Communications, and High Tech—supporting a wide variety of customer challenges and opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Understand customer needs and position Salesforce as the best solution to solve their business challenges.
- Build and deliver customized demonstrations that showcase the value of Sales Cloud, Service Cloud,, Data Cloud, and Agentforce (AI + Automation + Copilots).
- Collaborate with Account Executives to define solution strategy, technical win themes, and success criteria for key opportunities.
- Participate in discovery sessions, requirements gathering, and technical validations.
- Maintain a high level of expertise across Salesforce products, with focus on Agentforce to help customers adopt Generative AI and autonomous agents at scale.
- Stay current on industry trends and challenges, translating them into relevant solution narratives for ESMB customers.
- Achieve quarterly and annual objectives assigned by management.
- Participate in product, sales, and procedural trainings and maintain required certifications.
- Travel as needed based on territory and customer engagement requirements.
Required Qualifications:
- Experience in Solution Engineering, Pre-Sales, Customer Success, or a similar technical sales role.
- Strong presentation, storytelling, and communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging to different audiences and industries.
- Foundational understanding of CRM, cloud computing, AI, and data solutions.
- Curiosity and passion for AI and automation technologies—especially in building use cases for Agentforce (copilots, bots, workflow automation).
- Strong problem-solving mindset and ability to work collaboratively with AEs and extended teams.
- Ability to create compelling assets (demos, prototypes, POVs) that accelerate customer decision-making.
- Continuous learner, with a history of self-enablement and staying up to date on technology trends.
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills to manage multiple opportunities and stakeholders.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment and across diverse industries.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Salesforce certifications (Administrator, Platform App Builder, Sales/Service/Marketing Cloud Consultant).
- Experience with AI, Generative AI Strategy, and LLM-based autonomous agents.
- Basic programming knowledge (HTML, JavaScript, or similar).
- Familiarity with integration concepts, APIs, and data modeling.
