Transform Healthcare Access for 215+ Million Brazilians
At Lilly, we are united by one purpose — to make life better for people around the world. We discover, develop, and deliver medicines that help people live longer, healthier, and more active lives.
As Associate Director of Strategic Market Access, you will shape the future of access to innovative medicines in one of the world's most complex healthcare systems. You'll lead strategies that influence national policy, accelerate product reimbursement, and ensure patients receive breakthrough treatments faster. This is your opportunity to make a measurable impact on public health while advancing your career with a global leader in pharmaceuticals.
Primary Purpose:
lead the Strategic Market Access team in securing and sustaining reimbursement for Lilly's portfolio across all therapeutic areas, demonstrating the value of our medicines throughout the product lifecycle. This includes both overall strategic leadership for market access in Brazil and direct ownership of New Product Planning (NPP).
Impact:
Drive national-level access decisions, influence healthcare access policy, and ensure Brazilian patients can access breakthrough treatments faster than ever before.
What You'll Do
Strategic Leadership
- Develop comprehensive market access strategies and tactics for Lilly's portfolio across public and private sectors, ensuring alignment with commercial objectives.
- Own and lead market access and reimbursement strategies for New Product Planning across the Brazilian market.
- Lead cross-functional partnerships with Marketing, Medical Affairs, HEOR, Government Affairs, Pricing, and International teams to ensure executional excellence and enterprise connectivity.
- Ensure alignment and support for affiliate policy influence and environment-shaping initiatives impacting market access.
- Drive affiliate-wide alignment on access priorities, competitive positioning, and market opportunities.
- Represent Brazil in global and regional market access forums, contributing local insights and leading launch readiness and customer plan presentations.
- Engage with trade associations as appropriate and identify policy-shaping opportunities relevant to market access and product availability.
Reimbursement Excellence
- Lead HTA submissions to ANS and CONITEC, ensuring best-in-class dossier quality and successful outcomes
- Develop and execute multi-stakeholder strategies to secure national-level reimbursement agreements.
- Design pricing strategies and submit to CMED in alignment with commercial objectives.
- Provide strategic guidance and training to field access teams (KAMs) across public and private sectors.
- Manage product lifecycle access strategies from launch through patent expiry.
Team Leadership & Development
- Lead, develop, and inspire the Strategic Access team (Sr Manager, Coordinator, Analyst).
- Lead access strategies across all therapeutic areas, coaching team members on CMH, Immunology, Alzheimer's, and Oncology, while directly driving NPP execution.
- Foster an inclusive team culture aligned with Team Lilly values and a continuous improvement mindset.
- Drive performance through coaching, accountability, and growth-focused leadership.
- Inspire innovation, resilience, and enterprise thinking while mentoring talent across the organization.
Ideal Candidate Profile
A proactive self-starter with strong learning agility and adaptability who thrives in ambiguity and is energized by new challenges. You maintain a clear understanding of how your contributions align with broader enterprise goals, bring a spirit of innovation, step up in moments of uncertainty, take ownership of challenges, and adapt quickly to shifting priorities—turning problems into opportunities while helping others succeed.
Market Access Expertise
