Overview

We are seeking a highly organized and professional individual to join our medical team as a Patient Communication Manager. The ideal candidate has experience handling patient inquiries, scheduling appointments, and updating patient information in EHR systems. This role supports clinical and administrative staff by ensuring timely and accurate communication with patients while maintaining HIPAA compliance.

By proactively managing patient communications and coordinating schedules, this position saves valuable time for medical staff and enhances patient satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for patient inquiries via email, phone, or portal.
  • Schedule and confirm appointments with clinical staff.
  • Update patient information and appointment records in EHR systems.
  • Communicate with patients to clarify information, instructions, and follow-ups.
  • Maintain accurate records of all patient communications.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA and patient privacy standards.
  • Coordinate with clinical and administrative teams to streamline communication workflows.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in patient communication, medical administration, or related healthcare support roles.
  • Familiarity with EHR platforms such as Cerner, Epic, or Meditech.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • HIPAA certification or demonstrated HIPAA compliance training.
