Job Description

Job Purpose:
The Finance Payment Specialist will be responsible for the accurate and timely preparation, processing, and posting of all DARAZ Sri Lanka payments related to non-trade, rental, affiliate, utilities, and other operational expenses. This role ensures compliance with internal policies, accounting standards, and statutory requirements while maintaining accurate financial records and supporting smooth payment operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Payment Processing:
Prepare and process all types of non-trade payments in accordance with company policies and timelines.
Process rental payments and ensure accuracy against valid contracts and agreements.
Handle affiliate and KOL (Key Opinion Leader) payments, ensuring compliance with contracts and tax requirements.
Execute weekly Flex payments and weekly fuel top-up transactions.
Initiate and process salary advances and temporary staff payments.
Process LMP payments, SSCL, VAT, WHT, and APIT payments accurately and on schedule.
Handle utility payments, ensuring timely settlement to avoid service disruptions.
Process line haul payments and credit card settlements efficiently.
Month-End & Accounting Activities:
Post monthly consumption entries for:
Packaging materials
Warehouse consumables
Warehouse maintenance
Printing and stationery expenses
Perform monthly cost movements from prepaid GL accounts, including:
Other prepayments
Prepaid subscriptions
Prepaid insurance
Compliance & Reporting:
Ensure all payments comply with internal controls, company policies, and statutory obligations.
Maintain accurate documentation and support schedules for audits and internal reviews.
Support the finance team in month-end closing activities and reconciliation processes.

Position Requirement

Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Minimum 3–4 years of experience in a finance or payment processing role.
Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and general ledger accounting.
Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics or similar) is an advantage.
Proficiency in MS Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
