Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Retail Product Pricing & Profitability Management: Develop and execute pricing strategies to optimize profitability across the retail portfolio. Continuously monitor market trends, competitor pricing, and cost structures to ensure pricing aligns with business objectives while maintaining competitiveness and profitability.
Inventory Management & Accountability: Oversee day-to-day inventory management for the retail portfolio, ensuring accurate stock levels across all locations. Take responsibility for minimizing Out-of-Stock (OOS) situations, ensuring inventory is replenished in a timely manner to avoid lost sales and maintain optimal product availability.
Out-of-Stock (OOS) & Availability to Purchase (ATP) Governance: Monitor OOS metrics, work closely with suppliers and internal teams to improve stock availability, and implement inventory allocation strategies that ensure products are available when customers need them.
Inventory Liquidation Strategy: Develop and implement strategies for liquidating slow-moving inventory, including targeted promotions, discounting, and markdowns. Work to optimize inventory turnover, reduce aging stock, and minimize write-offs.
Retail Campaign Planning: Lead retail campaign planning efforts by working with cross-functional teams to drive sales, brand visibility, and customer engagement. Ensure that campaigns align with inventory availability and pricing strategies.
Performance Monitoring & Reporting: Track and analyze retail performance metrics, including sales, stock levels, profitability, and inventory turnover. Provide actionable insights and recommendations to improve operational efficiency and maximize financial outcomes.
Support for Fulfilled by Daraz (FBD): Collaborate with the Marketplace Operations teams to ensure smooth execution of orders fulfilled through Daraz. Approve inventory intake orders (IO) and assist with logistics to maintain seamless operations.
Ad-Hoc Responsibilities: Undertake any other ad-hoc tasks as assigned by superiors to support retail operations and business objectives.
Position Requirement
Qualifications:
Education:
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, Supply Chain, Marketing, or a related field.
• A Master's degree or relevant certifications (such as in Retail Management, Inventory Management, or Business Analytics) is a plus.
Experience:
• At least 3-5 years of experience in retail operations, inventory management, or product pricing, preferably within the FMCG or retail sector.
• Strong understanding of retail pricing strategies, inventory control, and supply chain management.
Skills:
• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to analyze sales data, inventory trends, and profitability metrics.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills to collaborate with suppliers, internal teams, and senior management.
Proficient in retail management software and inventory management systems is a plus.
• Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Experience in developing and executing retail campaigns and liquidation strategies.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other office productivity tools for reporting and analysis.
