About ALUME Institute
ALUME Institute is a Brazilian non-profit NGO based in Fazenda ALUME, Ilhéus, Bahia, dedicated to strengthening communities through education, sustainability, health, and culture.
We are acting in area of preservation and reforestation of Atlantic Forest, creating Artistic Residencies, Planting Agroforestry, Starting Eco Friendly Comunity that live in Thrival mode of Abundance in harmony with nature.
ALUME Farm is 42 Hectars (100 Acres) of land, 7 springs of pure crystal water, 7km from the ocean in state of Bahia, so called Cacao Cost.
Half of the land is preceded and keep in balance it's natural habitats, but half of the land was explored not in harmonious and future oriented way. So our basic goal is to reforest degraded areas, bring back life, diversity and prosperity to the land itself. Using agroforestry and subtropical ways of planting we are focused on creating base for further steps by planting, cleaning from colonised cultures (Latex trees) and trash that was accumulated by the time previous exploration.
Extra demand of ALUME is to keep buying land for preservation, reforestation and creating tribal coliving for comunity to grow socially and spiritually.

Role Overview
We are looking for a Fundraising Specialist / CFO to join ALUME Institute as a co-founder track.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead fundraising and grant writing in Brazil (essential)
Explore international funding opportunities (a plus)
Manage financial planning, budgeting, and reporting
Design fundraising campaigns and impact finance models
Support long-term financial sustainability and strategy
Commitment:
Experienced: 10h/week | Junior: 15h/week
This role begins on a volunteer basis during the MVP phase, with the understanding that it will transition into a salaried leadership position once sponsorship and funding are secured.
Who We're Looking For
Fluent in Portuguese & English
Strong experience in fundraising, grants, or financial management in Brazil (must-have)
Familiarity with international funding (a plus)
Skilled in financial planning & reporting
Motivated by social impact, sustainability, and innovation
Collaborative, proactive, comfortable in a startup-NGO environment
