Role Description

Execute note and investment grade bond offerings; manage the origination, structuring, due diligence and execution regarding appropriate capital structure for corporate clients. Assess the company's constraints, and financial, economic, fiduciary, legal and tax environments to enhance value proposition, gain market share and reduce risk.

Role Objectives: Delivery

Execute note and investment grade bond offerings, manage the origination, structuring, due diligence and execution regarding appropriate capital structure (i.e., new equity raise, debt financing, etc.) for corporate clients in assigned industry vertical(s). Assess and understand the company's constraints, and financial, economic, fiduciary, legal and tax environments to enhance value proposition, gain market share and reduce risk. Gather market intelligence for product pricing / yield, provide analysis on potential deal pricing, dilution impacts, timing and potential market acceptance. Cross-sell investment solutions in conjunction with adjacent product teams (derivatives, leveraged finance, private placement) to meet client complexities and needs beyond traditional bond issuance. Work with research (i.e., distribution of research to corporate and buy-side clients) and fixed income trading (i.e., deal flow, transactions, etc.) to leverage best practices, better present and disseminate pertinent investment and firm information.

Role Objectives: Interpersonal

Maintain existing client base and build relationships with corporate and buy-side clients to strengthen and provide investment advice, disseminate research, expand network of clients, help with all aspects of account coverage, close new business with existing clients. Cultivate new prospects and maximize profitable growth. Partner with the broader origination team to streamline internal processes (i.e., information sharing for new securities and follow-on offerings) and cross-sell opportunities. Work with research (i.e., distribution of research to the corporate and buy side clients) and fixed income sales and trading (i.e., deal flow, transactions, etc.) to leverage best practices, better present and disseminate pertinent investment and firm information. Work with legal and compliance regarding regulatory and listing issues (i.e., SOX, SEC disclosures, registration of new securities, etc.) facing public companies or those with public debt. Maintain (and broaden) industry relationships to develop the network of corporate clients for new business opportunities.

Role Objectives: Expertise

Demonstrate product experience, sector expertise, knowledge of competing products, industry-specific knowledge and trends within the public investment grade bond markets. Utilize advanced certifications, credentials (i.e., CFA, etc.) and/or degrees (MBA). Possess the required FINRA securities licensing registrations (i.e., Series 7, 63, and/or 79, etc.) and associated continuing education requirements. Apply (and broaden) knowledge of corporate capital structure, broader equities, fixed income, derivatives and strong presentation skills to advise clients on optimal capital structure and to deepen wallet share. Leverage on-going sales, coaching and/or developmental training experience, network and industry relationships (i.e., buy-side clients) to increase sales opportunities. Utilize both micro and macro investment depth and analyze historical transactions in assigned industries to better structure, price and enhance future investment grade bond deals.
