QAD Support Analyst

What are we looking for?
We are seeking a proactive and highly proficient QAD ERP Support Analyst to join our distinguished IT team. The successful candidate will be entrusted with delivering expert technical and functional support for our QAD ERP system and associated supply chain software. This pivotal role centers on advanced troubleshooting, seamless installations, meticulous configurations, and strategic system upgrades. The objective is to ensure the operational integrity, continuity, and optimal efficiency of our manufacturing and supply chain operations.
Technical Support:
- Deliver comprehensive, end-to-end technical support for the QAD product suite, encompassing installations, configurations, upgrades, and overarching system administration.
- Expertly diagnose and resolve complex software-related issues by applying rigorous root cause analysis and sophisticated troubleshooting methodologies to minimize operational downtime.
Progress Database Administration:
- Execute critical Progress Database Administrator (DBA) functions, including performance tuning, continuous monitoring, and the implementation of robust backup and recovery protocols.
- Uphold the integrity and security of all data housed within the ERP database architecture.
Incident Management:
- Diligently manage inbound support requests via our ticketing system, ensuring precise categorization, effective prioritization, and strict adherence to Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Maintain transparent and consistent communication with end-users, providing timely updates on the status of their service requests.
Documentation and Knowledge Management:
- Originate and sustain meticulous documentation of implemented solutions, established best practices, and substantive articles for the internal knowledge base.
- Champion the dissemination of expert QAD system knowledge throughout the team and the wider organization.
Stakeholder Interaction:
- Liaise effectively with internal clients and cross-functional teams to comprehensively understand and resolve reported issues, thereby ensuring superior levels of stakeholder satisfaction.
Process Optimization:
- Collaborate with various business units to identify opportunities for process enhancement and optimization through the strategic application of QAD software.
- Provide integral support in the deployment of new modules and functionalities designed to deliver tangible business value.
Training and Development:
- Empower end-users by providing advanced training on the effective utilization of QAD software and its sophisticated features, fostering user autonomy and system proficiency.
Required Qualifications and Proficiencies:
- Demonstrable, hands-on experience in ERP systems support, with a distinct preference for specialization in QAD.
- Exceptional problem-solving, analytical, and advanced troubleshooting capabilities.
- Proficiency in Progress database environments.
- Proven experience in executing ERP installations, upgrades, and complex configurations.
- Adept at managing high-priority incidents within a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Exemplary communication, interpersonal, and client service skills.
- In-depth knowledge of manufacturing and supply chain processes is considered a significant asset.
- Functional expertise in QAD modules, such as Finance, Distribution, and Manufacturing, will be highly regarded.
Location of this position: Remote LATAM, EUROPE, APAC, EMEA
