Confluencia is hiring a Jr.
Investment Analyst to help us drive our deal sourcing and investment analysis.
Working directly with our founders, you will identify and evaluate targets in Brazil's Vertical Market Software sector, co-leading the process from outreach to deal closing.Company DescriptionWho We Are: A newly launched software HoldCo co-founded by Matthew Kligerman (Founder of Escale, raised US$50M+ from top-VCs Kaszek & QED) and Leonardo Savoy (ex-tech investor at Hedosophia & Rise Capital as well as Strategy and IR at Remessa Online, sold to Ebanx for $229M), dedicated to investing in and growing outstanding vertical-market software companies.Our Investment Focus: We make majority investments in profitable, growing, vertical-market software businesses in Brazil, empowering teams with our value-add growth platform to accelerate further than they imagined, while they continue to operate autonomously.
We are powered by a global community of hands-on entrepreneurs and operators who are motivated to give back and help our portfolio companies scale.Key ActivitiesDeal Sourcing:Research and identify potential targetsManage and automate outreach efforts, including preparing communication materials, tracking outreach progress, and updating records on our CRMEngage with business owners and brokers to identify new investment opportunitiesInvestment Analysis:Support active deal flow by reviewing and analyzing potential targetsEvaluate business models, competitive positioning, and sectors/marketsBuild three-statement financial models as well as returns and valuation analysesQualifications1-3 years of experience in investment analysis (PE/VC, Corporate Development), investment banking, management consulting, or strategic roles in startupsUndergraduate degree concluded between 2023-2025Previous experience in tech/software is preferredGenuine passion for technology, business, and investingStrong analytical mindset and curiosity for emerging AI toolsFluent Portuguese and Working-Proficiency in EnglishBuilder's mindset: results-oriented, proactive, resourceful, comfortable in high-velocity environmentsHumble, open to learn and to receive feedbackWhat You'll GetDevelop the Mindset & Skills of A+ Founders & Software Investors Direct Mentorship – Work side-by-side with Matt & Leo, learn vertical software investing, company building and how to drive growthFront-Row Seat to Deals – Attend founder calls and participate in investment decisionsRemote – Ability to work from anywhere
