We are looking for aSenior Embedded Systems Architect – OTA/FOTAto take a pivotal role in shaping the future ofconnected vehicles and digital mobility.
You will providetechnical leadership, architectural expertise, and mentorship, while driving innovation inFirmware Over-The-Air (FOTA) solutions and developer productsthat enable seamless integration between embedded systems, cloud, and mobile applications.
This position is with amajor global OEMand represents a unique opportunity to influence the future of software-defined vehicles.Engagement detailsLocation: Betim, BrazilContract: Permanent or freelanceStart date: ASAPBenefits: Competitive package, international exposure, and participation in strategic projects for software-defined vehiclesResponsibilitiesDefine and lead the architecture strategy for OTA/FOTA platforms and connected systems.Ensure secure, scalable, and efficient firmware over-the-air updates for large vehicle fleets.Design and evolve developer products (SDKs, APIs, internal platforms) to accelerate innovation across engineering teams and partner ecosystems.Provide architectural guidance for large-scale digital solutions, ensuring interoperability between embedded systems, cloud platforms, and mobile services.Mentor and coach engineering teams, developing senior engineers and future technical leaders .
Represent the OEM in technical forums, consortia, and external collaborations, positioning the company at the forefront of software-defined mobility.Partner with product, security, and operations teams to deliver robust, user-centric, and compliant solutions .
Qualifications10+ years of experience in embedded systems, software architecture, or large-scale distributed platforms .4–6 years of expertise in OTA/FOTA architectures, connected platforms, or developer tools .
Proven track record in defining technical strategies and mentoring senior engineers.Strong background in cloud–embedded–mobile integration (SDKs, APIs, middleware).
Experience in automotive, aerospace, or other safety-critical industries is highly preferred.Advanced degree (Master's or PhD) in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.Excellent communication and leadership skills in global, cross-cultural environments.Fluent in English; Portuguese or Spanish is a plus.Next Steps:Click Apply.We will review your application.If qualified, you'll be accepted into the Hashlist network and considered for this and other relevant projects.
