Hashlistis a platform for projects within the automotive industry.We establish supplier relationships with automotive companies and provide a one-stop shop for candidates interested in working in the industry.Are you ready to embark on this journey?We are looking for aSenior Embedded Systems Architect – OTA/FOTAto take a pivotal role in shaping the future ofconnected vehicles and digital mobility.You will providetechnical leadership, architectural expertise, and mentorship, while driving innovation inFirmware Over-The-Air (FOTA) solutions and developer productsthat enable seamless integration between embedded systems, cloud, and mobile applications.This position is with amajor global OEMand represents a unique opportunity to influence the future of software-defined vehicles.Engagement detailsLocation: Betim, BrazilContract: Permanent or freelanceStart date: ASAPBenefits: Competitive package, international exposure, and participation in strategic projects for software-defined vehiclesResponsibilitiesDefine and lead the architecture strategy for OTA/FOTA platforms and connected systems.Ensure secure, scalable, and efficient firmware over-the-air updates for large vehicle fleets.Design and evolve developer products (SDKs, APIs, internal platforms) to accelerate innovation across engineering teams and partner ecosystems.Provide architectural guidance for large-scale digital solutions, ensuring interoperability between embedded systems, cloud platforms, and mobile services.Mentor and coach engineering teams, developing senior engineers and future technical leaders .Represent the OEM in technical forums, consortia, and external collaborations, positioning the company at the forefront of software-defined mobility.Partner with product, security, and operations teams to deliver robust, user-centric, and compliant solutions .Qualifications10+ years of experience in embedded systems, software architecture, or large-scale distributed platforms .4–6 years of expertise in OTA/FOTA architectures, connected platforms, or developer tools .Proven track record in defining technical strategies and mentoring senior engineers.Strong background in cloud–embedded–mobile integration (SDKs, APIs, middleware).Experience in automotive, aerospace, or other safety-critical industries is highly preferred.Advanced degree (Master's or PhD) in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.Excellent communication and leadership skills in global, cross-cultural environments.Fluent in English; Portuguese or Spanish is a plus.Next Steps:Click Apply.We will review your application.If qualified, you'll be accepted into the Hashlist network and considered for this and other relevant projects.and similar projects
