We are looking for a
Senior Embedded Systems Architect – OTA/FOTA
to take a pivotal role in shaping the future of
connected vehicles and digital mobility
. You will provide
technical leadership, architectural expertise, and mentorship
, while driving innovation in
Firmware Over-The-Air (FOTA) solutions and developer products
that enable seamless integration between embedded systems, cloud, and mobile applications. This position is with a
major global OEM
and represents a unique opportunity to influence the future of software-defined vehicles.

Responsibilities

  • Define and lead the
    architecture strategy
    for OTA/FOTA platforms and connected systems.
  • Ensure
    secure, scalable, and efficient firmware over-the-air updates
    for large vehicle fleets.
  • Design and evolve
    developer products (SDKs, APIs, internal platforms)
    to accelerate innovation across engineering teams and partner ecosystems.
  • Provide
    architectural guidance
    for large-scale digital solutions, ensuring interoperability between embedded systems, cloud platforms, and mobile services.
  • Mentor and coach engineering teams,
    developing senior engineers and future technical leaders
    .
  • Represent the OEM in technical forums, consortia, and external collaborations, positioning the company at the forefront of software-defined mobility.
  • Partner with product, security, and operations teams to
    deliver robust, user-centric, and compliant solutions
    .

Qualifications

  • 10+ years
    of experience in
    embedded systems, software architecture, or large-scale distributed platforms
    .
  • 4–6 years
    of expertise in
    OTA/FOTA architectures, connected platforms, or developer tools
    .
  • Proven track record in
    defining technical strategies
    and mentoring senior engineers.
  • Strong background in
    cloud–embedded–mobile integration
    (SDKs, APIs, middleware).
  • Experience in
    automotive, aerospace, or other safety-critical industries
    is highly preferred.
  • Advanced degree (Master's or PhD) in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills in global, cross-cultural environments.
  • Fluent in English; Portuguese or Spanish is a plus.
