Rockwell Automation is a global technology leader focused on helping the world's manufacturers be more productive, sustainable, and agile.With more than 28,000 employees who make the world better every day, we know we have something special.Behind our customers - amazing companies that help feed the world, provide life-saving medicine on a global scale, and focus on clean water and green mobility -our people are energized problem solvers that take pride in how thework we do changes the world for the better.We welcome all makers, forward thinkers, and problem solvers who are looking for a place to do their best work.And if that's you we would love to have you join usJob DescriptionThe primary responsibility of the Senior Engineer - Systems Technical Support position is to remotely provide support for server and storage equipment located at customer sites.You will work in the server environment.We ask that you have self-initiative, ownership, a desire to follow issues to resolution, commercial sensitivity, responsiveness, collaboration, and technical expertise.You will report to the Supervisor Managed ServicesMain location: Bogota, Colombia.We can consider other cities.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:You will focus on remote managed services for data centers located in manufacturing facilities.Have technical expertise for computer environments and will be instrumental in bridging the industrial and information technology paradigms.You will support modifying and maintaining Windows Server Operating Systems, Active Directory and Directory Services, and performance monitoring techniques on server software and hardware.You will support many VMware products such as vCenter, ESXi versions 6.x+, HorizonView, vSAN and must have experience managing these environments in a production environment.Provide troubleshooting assistance remotely by telephone and email on products to Rockwell Automation field service personnel, distributors, integrators, and customers.Work with other engineers, manage and deal with high pressure situations.Investigate and verify reported product problems in software, firmware, hardware and documentation.Document the problem, work with appropriate group to resolve the problem, and follow up with the Rockwell Automation representative or customer when the problem is solved.Provides documentation of all actions taken in the appropriate systems, set expectations with customers and follow-up on an action item or activity needed to resolve a problem being experienced by a customer.You will update and author Technical Notes and other documentation to inform Rockwell Automation personnel, domestic or international, of solutions to commonly experienced problems, work around, installation practices that create problems to improve customer satisfaction and acceptance.BASIC REQUIREMENTS:Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, information technology, computer programming, or similar.PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:VMWare Certified Professional (VCP).3 years' experience as a VMware engineer.Proficiency in VMware associated programs and coding languages, such as Windows Server, MS IIS, SAN/vSAN architectures.Knowledge of the fundamentals of VMware solutions and related technologies.Programming Language for cloud platforms: Python, Java, JavaScript, Power ShellExceptional analytical and technical skills.Availability to resolve urgent VMware environment problems outside of business hours.Familiarity with network and SAN switching technologies.Good English reading, writing and verbal communication skillsStrict adherence to company standards and procedures.Excellent trouble shooting skillsWhat We Offer:Our benefits package includes ...Comprehensive mindfulness programs with a premium membership to CalmVolunteer Paid Time off available after 6 months of employment for eligible employees.Company volunteer and donation matching program – Your volunteer hours or personal cash donations to an eligible charity can be matched with a charitable donation.Employee Assistance ProgramPersonalized wellbeing programs through our OnTrack programOn-demand digital course library for professional development... and other local benefitsWe believe that employee diversity is an important element of our common future.We provide opportunities for talent growth with the entire organization.We support equality by celebrating the individuality of every person, regardless of their origin and identity.We appreciate the unique cultural pattern and variety of experiences in each of us.We invite all who want to join and change the world of our organization.#LI-EV1#LI-HybridRockwell Automation's hybrid policy aligns that employees are expected to work at a Rockwell location at least Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays unless they have a business obligation out of the office.#J-18808-Ljbffr
