This Includes, But Is Not Limited ToDirect and manage a contract guard force at the cluster level, overseeing more than 200 people in daily data center operationsHandle multiple sites operations including, security incidents, escalations, or any other security related issuesProvide after-hours on-call management support, and participate in emergent, large scale event response when neededParticipate in recurring data center security audits and reviewsExecute established processes in compliance with AWS policies, standards, guidelines and relevant legal and regulatory requirementsProvide input on, and develop security methodologies, policies and proceduresWrite reports and communicate with management on the status of physical security operationsOversee new security construction or retrofit projectsAssist management with financial analysis, and contribute to financial decisions for security requirementsCollaborate with other teams to protect AWS Data Center personnel, information and assetsKey job responsibilitiesSecurity Operations & StrategyOwn the security operation of multiple sitesImplement overarching security strategy through daily tactics to reach management goalsAbility to walk a facility, and observe security gaps in physical barriers, security officer procedure, policies, surveillance equipment, and alarm pointsInvestigate accidents, thefts, disturbances, discrepanciesDrive campaigns to enhance security awarenessVendor & Contract ManagementManage Contract Guard Force (CGF) contractEstablish SMART goals for the CGF and drive their completionOversee physical security sub-contractors that provide guards, electronic security systems, door repair, fencing, and access controlsOversee security construction projectsTraining & Performance ManagementEnhance existing CGF physical security training program while identifying key metrics to measure successTeach others to execute proper security processes and methodsExperience with workflow ticketing, and extraction of performance metricsBasic QualificationsCore Security Expertise:> 5 years of security operations experienceAble to perform structured security risk assessmentsAble to investigate site incidents and provide detailed reportsAble to analyze situations, make quick decisions and formulate action plansExperience in training others in security proceduresManagement & Professional RequirementsBachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience in security or related fields> 3 years of Vendor ManagementMust be capable of creating and managing key performance metricsAble to work independently with little directionTechnical & Administrative SkillsProficient with computers and Microsoft office tools such as outlook, word excel and power pointMust be fluent in English (reading, writing and speaking)Mobility & Availability RequirementsMust have a valid driver's license and must be able to travel locally and internationallyMust have their own carRequired to participate in on-call rotationSoft SkillsProven ability to work collaboratively in a team environmentPreferred QualificationsProfessional Development:Member of a security professional body (e.g. ASIS)Security specific qualifications/certifications, and/or proof of continued personal developmentFamiliarity with compliance standards such as ISO 31000Technical ExpertiseWorking knowledge of access control and video surveillance equipment (Lenel and/or Bosch)Ability to develop, implement, and maintain Business Continuity Plans (BCP)Proven ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment where numerous systems/applications/software are highly dependentOur inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers.
