Job DescriptionWe are seeking a highly skilled Sales Coordinator to join our team.
This role is responsible for prospecting, engaging with existing and prospective clients to understand their shipping requirements and provide accurate, timely quotations for the most cost-effective routes.The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work under pressure, and possess strong organizational and analytical skills.
They will also be proactive, flexible, and enthusiastic about working in a dynamic environment with constantly changing priorities.Sources new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up, handles inbound calls and emails providing service and price information, prepares shipment quotations, clarifies questions, and follows up to close deals.Understands customer needs and requirements to ensure a high level of satisfaction and effective communication.Researches route options, vendors, freight requirements, and other relevant information to identify the most cost-efficient solutions for customers and prospects.Negotiates freight costs with carriers and agents, works on special project quotes, and maintains close relationships with vendors to ensure service quality and cost-effectiveness.Organizes quote requests and internal orders, prioritizes and executes them within required turnaround times.Gains and retains extensive knowledge in the freight forwarding industry, as well as a detailed understanding of customer requirements.Develops and maintains positive relationships with key clients, including negotiating and closing major contracts to support business growth.Performs other related duties as assigned by the team leader or management.RequirementsAssociate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent, plus two to four years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Commitment to excellence and maintaining high professional standards.Consistently delivers exceptional customer service throughout all work activities.Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to effectively manage priorities and workflow.Versatile, flexible, and enthusiastic about working in a dynamic environment with constantly changing priorities.Proactive with strong attention to detail.Ability to work under pressure, multitask, and navigate uncertainty in complex environments.Solid technical aptitude with the ability to apply solutions and support developmental needs.Effective negotiation skills with the ability to establish mutually beneficial commitments and expectations with customers.Excellent interpersonal skills to build and maintain productive relationships.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ensuring clear, professional interactions.CompetenciesConsistently demonstrates the highest levels of integrity and adheres to established professional standards.Builds and maintains trust, respect, and cooperation among team members.Establishes and nurtures strong relationships across different levels and cultures within the organization.Applies analytical skills, agility, and resourcefulness to identify and resolve problems effectively.Responds quickly to changing priorities and performs effectively in situations of ambiguity.Acts as an engaged, cooperative, and culturally aware team player
