Boeing Brazil is seeking a
Mid-Career Electromagnetic Engineer
, reporting to the Electrical Installation and Electromagnetic Effects Engineering Manager, working out of the
São José dos Campos
office.
The
Mid-Career Electromagnetic Engineer
will work with the Boeing Commercial Aircraft engineering global team to support the certification of large aircraft and to demonstrate compliance with relevant regulatory and customer requirements and procedures defined in the company's Design Organization Handbook (DOH).

: This position is hybrid / telecommuting.
The selected candidate will perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options.
This is at the hiring team's discretion and could potentially change in the future.

Responsibilities
Develops and evaluates requirements for various complex communication, sensor, electronic warfare and other electromagnetic systems and components.
Develops and evaluates electromagnetic requirements for electrical/electronic systems, mechanical systems, interconnects and structures.
Develops architectures to integrate complex systems and components into higher level systems and platforms.
Performs trade studies, modeling, simulation and other forms of analysis to predict component, interconnects and system performance and to optimize design around evaluated requirements.
Defines and conducts critical tests of various kinds to validate performance of designs to requirements.
Follows appropriate aspects of critical supplier and partner performance to ensure compliance to requirements.
Provides support to products throughout their lifecycle from manufacturing to customer use by providing guidance and support to resolve complex issues.
Supports project management by providing information to coordinate development of work statement, budget, schedule and other required inputs and conducting appropriate reviews.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)
Must have existing rights to work in Brazil.
Must have a degree in Engineering.
Fluent in both written and verbal English.
Must be registered or eligible to register with the Engineering and Agronomy Regional Council (Conselho Regional de Engenharia e Agronomia - CREA).
Preferred Qualifications (Education/Experience)
Experience on aircraft development programs and electromagnetic effects on aircraft.
Bachelors of Science (or greater) from an accredited course of study, in Electrical/Electronic or Aerospace/Aeronautical Engineering.
Experience as FAA Compliance Verification Engineer with terms of approval relevant to the Electrical Systems and/or Avionic Systems disciplines.
Experience on FAA regulatory and airworthiness requirements including (E)TSO FAR-25 requirements (relevant to the magnetic effects discipline).
Experience of FAA Part 21 Design Organization (or equivalent).
Experience on aircraft development programs, reviewing design with a high emphasis on electrical systems including in-flight entertainment, connectivity, antennae and electric loads related to the introduction of new electrical or electronic equipment.
Experience with environmental effects related to magnetic threats such as High Intensity Radiated Fields (HIRF), lightning direct and indirect effects, Electromagnetic Pulse (EMP), and precipitation static.
Ability to work on multiple programs with varying level of requirements efficiently and effectively.
Ability to work in group internally and externally with customers to embody the core values of the business: Honesty, Integrity and Transparency.

This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.

This requisition is for a locally hired position in Brazil.
Candidates must have current legal authorization to live and work in Brazil.
Benefits and pay are determined at the local level and are not part of Boeing U.S. based payroll.
